After studying at Saint-Maurice High School in Valais, Switzerland, GaëtanTornay went to Rome for 2 years to serve as the Pope’s Swiss Guard. Upon his return to Switzerland, he trained as a tourism manager.
He has been managing the destination “Paysdu St-Bernard” in Switzerland, on the border with Italy and France, for more than 10 years.
Passionate about hiking, he is involved in many hiking-related activities, such as vice-presidency of the European Association of Vie Francigene since 2016 and presidency of the Swiss Via Francigena Association since its creation in 2022.
