COOP ARCHEOLOGIA Cooperativa Archeologia was founded in Florence in 1981, and by the 1990s it had already become one of Italy’s leading companies in the field of archaeology, restoration and enhancement of cultural heritage Its staff now consists of about 300 resources: architects, archaeologists, restorers, cultural workers and skilled workers. The Cooperative operates throughout the country, has its registered office in Florence and local offices in Rome, Genoa and Bologna, and has an active presence in many foreign countries, especially in the Mediterranean basin, exporting Italian tradition and quality to the service of cultural heritage everywhere. ARCHEOLOGY Established to offer specialized services in the field of ARCHEOLOGY, our Company has always operated with the flexibility of a structure capable of guaranteeing professional interventions, actively interpreting the prescriptions of the Superintendencies and the needs of clients. With more than forty years of experience in urban settings and rural sites, on a local and international scale, we are able to carry out all kinds of archaeological activities, proposing strategies and modes of intervention with operational teams of technicians and workers, including the specialized figures functional to each archaeological context. RESTORATION Since the Cooperative’s early years, RESTORATION has been one of its founding activities. Becoming one of the leading sectors, to date it can boast more than 1,000 interventions on the most important national monuments and on relevant works of art pertaining to all types. The Cooperative carries out its restoration activities within the specific categories provided for by the SOA Certificate: OG2 Ranking VIII-Restoration and maintenance of immovable property subject to protection under the provisions on cultural and environmental heritage and OS2-A Ranking VIII-Decorated surfaces of immovable cultural heritage property and movable cultural heritage property of historical, artistic, archaeological and ethno-anthropological interest. SERVICES With our interventions in the areas of planning, consulting, management, educational activities, cultural tourism, publishing, and museum layouts, we pursue our mission of enhancing the value and enjoyment of CULTURAL HERITAGE, with an awareness of the value of the heritage on which we intervene, convinced of the centrality that historical and artistic memory has for every community and of the contribution that knowledge of one’s roots and past grafts to the growth of the same community. Alongside its numerous educational projects, the Cooperative is committed to the broader field of training, to ensure that new generations have all the tools they need for informed access to professions related to the field of Cultural Heritage.
